Top 5 Places to Visit in Downtown Denver

Denver offers an abundance of rooftop bars, health conscious restaurants and breweries – making it is easy to see why this city is becoming a major hot spot for everyone from fashion savvy trendsetters to the outdoorsy type.

Here are my top five places to visit on your first trip to Denver, Colorado.

– Breakfast at Snooze An A.M Eatery –

Located in the historic Union Station is Denver’s own Snooze an AM Eatery serving breakfast like no other. Indulge in their creative and delicious breakfast choices – anything from iconic pancakes, artisan benedicts, AM cocktails, and evolving breakfast twists.

Snooze has locations here in Arizona as well! Click here for more details on Snooze’s creative dishes, yummy cocktails and locations.

BEER LOVERS: Be sure to order the Brewmosa!

– Drinks at Union Station –

Denver Union Station is the main railway station and central transportation hub in Denver, Colorado. This historic landmark is home to many unique restaurants, trinket shops and a well known bar – Terminal Bar.

Terminal Bar gives you the opportunity to step up to the old windows where instead of purchasing a train ticket, you can order a mimosa, hand crafted cocktail or Colorado craft beer from the bar’s extensive draft beer collection.

TIP: Order a mimosa and visit the surrounding shops inside Union Station while waiting for your buzzer at Snooze – Trust me, you will have time!

– Explore Larimer Square –

Larimer Square was founded in 1861 and is the site to where Denver began. The historic buildings along Larimer Square are now home to an inspired mix of independent shops, chef-driven restaurants and lively bars and clubs.

Festivals and events are constantly being held on the square, in the restaurants and even at one of the local comedy spots. Plan your trip ahead of time by finding more information here.

– Lunch at Avanti Food & Beverage –

Avanti Food & Beverage, located in the Highlands District of Denver, is a bi-level shipping container featuring a variety of culinary experiences, delicious handcrafted cocktails and an array draft beers for your choosing.

Explore your culinary options at any of the seven in-house food trucks after picking up one of Avanti’s twenty draft beers, classic cocktails, or wines at the bar.

I highly encourage you to order the Banana & Bourbon cocktail – absolutely worth it.

Be sure to make it to the rooftop lounge where there is a full service bar, patio views and a totally different kind of seating arrangement.

– Linger Eatuaries –

Pick you poison – literally. What was formally the site of Denver’s historic mortuary, Olinger Mortuaries, is now home to a thriving restaurant and rooftop lounge nicknamed Linger.

Choose from a variety of drinks including organically farmed wines, locally brewed beers, seasonally inspired cocktails and creative, healthy, nonalcoholic mock-tails. Look out for the “Featured” rotating cocktail list, too!

TIP: Plan your visit to Linger during their Happy Hour or weekend Brunch hours!

Downstairs from Linger is Little Man Ice Cream – a locally owned milk jug shaped shop serving some of the best homemade ice cream in town. Find them scooping up unique flavors such as Salted Oreo, Chocolate Pecan Pie and Salted Caramel PB Cup.

The line alone will prove to you how many people long for this creamy treat!

These are just a few places to check out on your first trip to Denver. I will be back soon to review more! Any suggestions?

xoxo ♥ AB
